Aggression after weaning pups

New postby crazy cat lady on Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:24 am

I e-mailed a shelter in my area about a BC and the response I received was that she was O/S for displaying aggression after weaning puppies. I have e-mailed them back for some more information but was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what might be going on or how to evaluate her for aggression in shelter now. They did not specify if it was aggression to people and/or dogs. I have not heard from shelter yet but I am thinking maybe someone was fooling with her puppies and she was just protecting them, and now she has double whammy of being in shelter too. I don't believe her puppies are at the shelter.
