Anybody have any takes on herbals?

Anybody have any takes on herbals- it's simple for myself because if i feel like i might be getting a cold or even if i wake up feeling a little groggy i take echicncial golsdneseal olive leaf extract. Perks me up. So far its been two years one cold and it only lasted two days.
I know there are some who recommend various herbals for canine immune support but since i can't listen to my dogs body the way i do mine- I'm never sure what to give and when ?

I hope someone else can recommend some specific herbal products for your dog to boost immune support, but unless your dog has a particular problem, I would think a high quality diet is sufficient, of course along with exercise, mental stimulation, etc.
I just really wanted to say that just because something is herbal does not mean that it is necessarily safe. Also, the manufacturers of herbal preparations are not regulated, so the purity of preps can vary widely, even from batch to batch of same manufacturer, and can contain pesticides, etc.

Fish oil seems to be the cure all for many problems, although it is not herbal product, I do give my dogs this supplement, as well as glucosamine.

I have to repeat CCL's caution. I have seen stuff on the web recommending herbal remedies using substances that are toxic to dogs. Be careful out there.
