PF bio:
When Fred’s owner died, family members took him in. The resident dogs do not like having Fred there and are not accepting him, so the people asked if we could find a better home for the dog. Fred is a great boy who gets along well with people and other animals. He has not been around cats. Fred liked to “herd” the other dogs in the home, as well as the neighbor’s livestock, which got him in some difficulty. Fred is 8-years-old, but still is lively, energetic, playful, and loving. Fred qualifies for a special adoption fee of only $10.00 to a QUALIFIED home. He was on heartworm preventative in his previous home, but is not current with that.
Email from Gloria at the shelter:
Can anyone help Fred? His owner died and family members took him in, but their dogs don’t like him and he keeps trying to herd the neighbor’s cows. He’s been posted on Petfinder for over a month with no response. The people kept him as long as they could, but he is now at the shelter and is urgent! Fred is 8-9 years-old, already neutered. Was on HW preventative in the past, but hasn’t been on it lately. Shots are past-due. He gets along well with people and dogs, no history of being around cats but I can test him. Thanks for any help.
