Urgent! F R/W(x?) West Memphis, AR *Rescued*

Emailed the Shelter got this info back:

Blue Belle entered the shelter on July 16, 2011 with three puppies. She was surrendered by her owner. Reason for surrender, owner could not keep her in his backyard and he didn't want the puppies. One puppy has been adopted and I still have two of them but they are going to rescue next week.

Blue Belle tested positive for heartworms and has not been treated nor spayed. We have given her all series of necessary vaccinations and dewormed.

We are a kill shelter. She is safe this week. Not safe next week. We usually try and keep the dogs awhile if they are adoptable but she has been here over a month and had no interest in her until your email. She gets along with other dogs and is submissive and very people friendly.

Breaking News!! Well much to our collective surprise Blue Belle is coming to Ewenity Farms !!! I just called the shelter to inquire about Blue Belle's status as I noticed her PF listing had been updated to the seemingly heavenly "On Hold" and was informed that she was going to a BC rescue in FL. (Hmnn , she said scribbling furiously in her cyber pad while twirling her virtual Van Dyke till it resembled a double helix). I immediately (intrepid solider that that I am ) pressed the ACO for the pertinent particulars as to exactly Which rescue was pulling her and was told.....( insert drum roll, Jeopardy music and much uncontrolled head scratching)....yup you guessed it !! ( and Please accept this complimentary set of Post- Civil War Breath Mints for playing along) ...Ewenity Farms !! ..Sigh.. Guess we're always the last to know ..

Meanwhile when I spoke with them last week I merely asked the routine questions every girl wants to know , Blue Belle's prospective time parameters, how is she with other dogs , are there any local boarding / transport options available ( ala round up the usual suspects) BUT definitely did Not commit to EF taking her ....Looks like the universe had other plans ..

Anyway now have to work on transport, finding a foster (any takers?? ) and raising funds to cover the pull fees and vetting..Blue Belle is being spayed tomorrow at the local vet's and will be back at the shelter on Thurs..Basically have till the weekend of the 17th to get her out!!
