BCx Momma & 3 babies Springfield, MO: *SAFE!*

This little family is in that awful kill shelter in Springfield, MO...where there are no public adoptions, and only a few rescue groups are allowed to pull and save dogs. This plea came from a fellow rescue person in the area who saw this Momma BC mix and her puppies and would like to help save them, somehow. Such a sad situation...

OK, I know it looks like the mom could be a mix and the pups likely are too, but is there ANY way we can save this family? They have very little time and they are at that horrible pound here. I think the stray hold is up tomorrow which means they will be put down in a couple of days if no one speaks for them. The world is so wrong to have this happening to moms and babies everyday yet pet stores and puppy mills still able to make profits breeding dogs!

If any rescue group has room, or someone would like to foster this family, please send me a PM and I will put you in touch with someone who can pull from that place. Don't delay! They only have a few days left... This pound has no reprieves and no second chances, they kill dogs on a schedule and whenever they are full.

OMG, the poor little momma looks so much like my Girlfriend with shorter hair. Praying someone can save them. I'll try to help with transport in needed.

Oh God the heartstring tuggage! This makes me want to cry...

What's the deal with this shelter? How do you get animals out of there? Those pups look pretty young, what transport options are there for them? Are they able to be transported? I personally can't take them, but I might be able to pull someone else's heartstrings with this one if transport is possible to MI? This one has really gotten me...

Sal...they need someone with a Missouri license 501 c3 to pull. C.A.R.E. rescue (Castaway Animal Rescue Effort http://www.carerescue.org/) in Springfield has first choice on which dogs to pull...but they have not been getting any animals out of there for the past few weeks, trying to get the numbers down at their adoption Center. Connie Foster might also still be able to get dogs out of there for rescue groups, she is at: cfos @ ymail.com (again, take out the spaces)
Sometimes Mo-Kan is able to help with pulls, but they have no foster homes now and also have a waiting list, as I understand it.

I am about 3 hours from Springfield in NW Arkansas, and do have some contacts in the area for transport...and it sounds like Cheryl could also help move them north through Missouri. Can we save this little family?

Just got word from Mokan contact...they are working on these kids!!!

Praying they work fast enough. This place executes dogs with military precision.

If Mokan fell through, it would only take about one more person to help get them to Bailey (Kathi)-- I am close enough to both Springfield and N. Illinois to be the middle of a transport. And I am off tomorrow.

Hey guys...

On a whim I posted these guys on another site, not really expecting much... but to my surprise and delight my inbox was positively FLOODED with people wanting to take in these dogs! I was in tears reading message after message from people who wanted to help... people amaze me sometimes!

If Mokan falls through, I've got about ten potential adopters/fosters in the Springfield area. Some offered a temporary place until they could be moved elsewhere(ie to Bailey). There was a LOT of interest in the little pup with all the white on him, he wouldn't be in foster care long I'm thinking :wink

So how soon do we hear from Mokan? Also, what if any costs are involved?

That is so awesome! Although, I want to adopt one too! They look kind of young, can they leave their mommy?
But they can all stay by me until they all find great homes.

I just hope for the best for them!
