"I'm a straight up full blooded border collie. I'm smart and ready to enjoy a fast paced life! Come see me soon! I am waiting for you."
It is $100.00 to adopt a dog or puppy. These fees reflect vaccinations including rabies, deworming, medical tests such as heartworm and the spay/neuter cost of the animal. You must also purchase a city license if you live in the city of Anderson.

All dogs will be spayed or neutered at one of several lowcost Spay/Neuter clinics. The new owner will be responsible to pick up the adopted animal at the vet clinic used.

I just arranged to pick this girl up on Friday. She needs to be spayed tomorrow.
She came in as stray-never claimed. When I called to inquire about her about an hour ago, the coordinator could not believe the timing, as this girl had suddenly become in desperate need of help. She somehow managed to fracture her front leg in 4 places and they were soft casting her as we spoke. She is only 9-10 months and the fractures all stayed in alignment, but she will need to be kept quiet for sometime to get perfect healing. Not something they can do there, so I am taking her. They say she is an extremely neat little girl(30#'s) with a lot of talent, that needs a job when she heals. So we hope she makes a super recovery and has a happier future. Very toy driven and high energy.........as they should be! I have rehabbed very high flying dogs before, so I feel comfortable that she will heal fine. I believe(as do they) things happen for a reason.

Thanks for all the support!
And Jill, she may come your way. We will see how see does with healing. The doc said 3 weeks casted(soft) and kept very quiet and she should be good as new. Being only around 8-9 months, they believe properly rehabbed, she will be sound to do whatever. The lady I am working with (Kim) is SO in love with the little girl. Said she cried when she was hurt, as she did not want to have to put her down. She is NOT going to be spayed when I get her afterall. Kim decided it was too much with the leg issue, so I promised to do her when healed from the leg injury. I totally agree she has been through enough for now.
Kim thinks she has serious sports potential, so with my agility contacts, she may get a new home that way. But I think just coming here will be enough for her for now.
I am having trouble getting her here, as very bad weather is coming in. I have someone picking her up tonight and we were meeting half way in the morning, but they are calling for up to 8 inches of snow.So with our 2 schedules, we are likely going to try to meet late tonight to try to beat the bad weather. Of course.......snow could not have waited 24 hrs!!
We will post some new pics of her, when we get her here and settled!

ps. The boy we pulled from Metro Louisville, will also go to his new foster today! We know he is going to blossom with some TLC! And we just love his new foster home. Super sweet and will give him lots of love. I offered to get him groomed, as he is a nasty mess, but they insisted they would take care of him. SO nice! One very sad dog, that is really going to get a new lease on life!

I picked up Sissy late Thursday night, before the big snow. She is an absolute doll. SO cute and bright! SHe has a cast on her rear leg for 3 weeks and then needs to be re xrayed to make sure it healed properly and then she should be up and running! And I am sure she WILL run! She is very toy driven. Always something in her mouth. Petite and so cute. Just 30#'s though too skinny. Probably will be 35 to 38 mature. She is super attentive and loving. She will snatch toys she wants right out of a dogs mouth, before they know what hit them! Quick as the wind this one. I would LOVE to keep her for agility as I know she is going to be spectacular with some training, but she not blending well with one of my bitches and I don't need a problem with my pack. They all get along very well and I think she is bit too dominate for my females. She would do better with a smaller group that is not so stimulating.
Anyone looking for a disk dog or agility prospect, you will LOVE this girl. Call or email me for more pics and info.

Hey Carol,

I responded to your PM too...but we can take her if you'd like. We already added a spot for her on the transport next weekend. Let me know! I think I'm going ot see if our vet-tech volunteer can foster her until her leg is good to go!
