FRED - Male - Great dog - NOT housebroken yet, Shows some cat aggression and a little food aggression but working on it. He likes to chase cars, He is overweight, good with other dogs and most likely will be fine with kids. Easy going.

Fred is in foster now but still Needs a Home!!
My name is Fred & I have such a sad story to tell you! I'm an 8 year old purebred border collie & had a great home all my life until my master died. Other family members took me, kept me outside for awhile and then decided that they didn't want me so they took me to the shelter where I was scheduled to be killed the day I was brought in due to me being "old" (Do I look OLD to you?!) Another wonderful shelter rescued me and I've been in my foster home for about a month now. I really like it here, but they have a LOT of foster animals on this farm & I'd really love to have a family where I could get even more attention. I am a big lover boy, after all! I'm already neutered, up to date on all of my shots, microchipped & heartworm negative. I'm crate trained & housebroken... since I'm old enough to act like I have some sense, I don't tear things up in the house. I like to lay around on fluffy dog beds & play with toys, mostly. I pretty much really like everyone I meet. I don't even chase the chickens or the ducks. (I've been accused of chasing cows, but my foster mom doesn't have any cows, so she hasn't seen me do it.) But you'll have to keep me on a leash or in a fence, because I really want to chase cars... those tires look like they'd be fun to bite! I love to chase a ball or frisbee outside when I'm running around the yard, but then I'm ready to come back inside... I'm totally a house dog! I'm a big boy... 56#... I've been on a diet but I'm still a little on the hefty side. I'll probably be closer to 50# by the time I have my sexy physique back. I want a home where I can live indoors with my family, but where my people will take me out for walks (I REALLY like walks & walk very good on a leash) and throw a frisbee or ball around for me to chase. I love to cuddle & I want someone who can give me lots of snuggles & attention! I have plenty of good years left to devote to the right new master.
