Senior Male OKC, OK needs rescue ASAP *RESCUED*

New postby roxyindy123 on Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:19 am

A guy in OKC found this BC in his neighborhood and has been trying to locate the owner for almost 2 weeks with no luck. Unfortunately he is allergic to dogs and can not keep him much longer. He is going on vacation on Wednesday and really needs a place for him to go. I am afraid he will have to take him to the shelter if he is not rescued. One of our volunteers did an eval on him and here is what she said:

I met this handsome man tonight. He is the sweetest man ever. He seems to have been well taken care of, and Chance seems to have done everything possible to find the owner. He is going to all of the major grocery stores, etc. this weekend, to see if anyone has posted him. There are many seniors in his neighborhood, so they may not use the web.

This dog is awesome. He is a senior (~7-10y). VERY well behaved. Knows sit, down, and loves to give paw. He is fine w/other dogs (just ignores them. or sniffs and that is it. He is all about people. I would say closer to the 8 yr age, but he is overweight so he can't move like a dog of that age should.

In addition to the rescuer having a family member in the hospital, he is allergic to dogs and can only have those that don't shed (he has 2 golden-doodles now). He is a great guy and loves this dog. He takes him for long walks (he walks GREAT on a leash) around the neighborhood in hope of finding the owner. The dog has been posted on Craigslist, FB, etc. and he has placed signs all the area.

He is neutered, and other than some good grooming, and being about 10 lbs heavier than he should be, he is a great dog. He is all BC! But very laid back.

I was able to keep this guy at my house a few nights to evaluate him. I really wish I could take on another foster but I am unable to right now. I created a website for him
http://helpchance.shutterfly.com/ Right now he is having to stay outside because the person that rescued him is allergic to dogs. Please share his site so we can get this guy out of the heat and rescued. Thanks!

Just got word from the big boss at BCRMN, SEND HIM!

Melissa also said for me to quit emailing her??? I'm not sure what that's about. I have never brow beat a rescue into taking a dog? Anyway I'm making plans to pick hum up with Hunt, and the two from Tulsa tomorrow. THANK YOU to everyone that is helping, or has helped save all these dogs.
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
