We have an immediate need to place some or our shelter dogs, as we have dogs coming in from the Nebraska and Iowa abuse/neglect case that has been widely reported this week. It is an incredibly sad situation. However, kennel space is a huge issue and we need to place many animals ASAP. PLEASE help! If we can place an animal in your rescue, we can provide the following vetting for free:
Distemper vaccine
Bordatella vaccine
Rabies vaccine
HW Test
Physical exam with documentation of exam
Frontline
Wormer
Microchip
The spay/neuter surgery can be done in Sioux City at a cost of $75 to your rescue.

I have a rescue that will take this dog, but I thought he was an aussie (MN Aussie Rescue is willing to take him). What am I missing? LOL

Just got off the phone with Jane, the rescuer there. She says to her knowledge Luke is still alive...however due to a serious situation where many dogs were found dead, and many in bad shape, the shelter is clearing out dogs. I told her if nobody else steps up for Luke, HHBCR will take him.

I have no idea. Do you have their contact info? If they will take him, that is wonderful. If not, we will...and it looks like we have a few dogs coming down the pike. This one will be a fast adopt for them I am sure. Jane says he is even getting obedience work with some volunteers.

I wasn't sure if he was BC or not when I posted him. Now that I see the full body, he's definitely an Aussie. Herding dogs, they're all good.

I believe MN Aussie Rescue is going to take him. I put her in contact w/the person w ho forwarded me the info. I will confirm this.
