Hmmm...I don't know why the link isn't working for some folks (it works fine for me from both Safari and Firefox), but just in case anyone is having trouble finding info about King, I thought I'd post it directly here, too.

About King King's collar was allowed to become so tight that it cut into his neck, basically his neck tried to grow over the collar, we had to take him to the vet to get it surgically removed and would be very appreciative of any donations towards that cost as donations have been less this year and medical costs have been much much more! King is about 6-7 yrs old. He is good with other dogs and is a typical border collie. Unless you have had the breed before, you probably shouldn't start with King. He needs a job, and enjoys herding us as much as he can

As I believe I've mentioned in another thread, he is close to me, too, so I would be happy to help however I can.

As my two double-digit wonders can attest, 6 or 7 is relatively young for a BC (and probably the ideal age, in my book!).

Thank you so much for your offer to sponsor him! The best plan would be to contact the shelter directly, by phone if you are able to or by email if you are not, and explain that you'd like to sponsor King. Different shelters handle the process differently, so the best bet is to touch base with someone there.

I emailed the given address and also called and left a message. I'm hoping someone will get back to me in time. As I said on a previous post, I am trying to get certified by the city to have a "multiple dog license" so I can foster rescue dogs, but I'm at my limit right now that the city allows (2 dogs, both rescued). I am happy to do what I can by transporting if needed or by sponsoring. Thanks for letting me know how the process works and I will keep you posted.

Thanks for your willingness to help King. I didn't see this until I posted an update on King........... Check it out. I e-mailed the shelter to let them know that we were working on finding him a rescue, that we had someone to pull and transport to try and buy him time and I got 2 e-mails back. One to tell me what was suppose to be happening and one to confirm what did happen!!!!!
