Thank God!!

This little family was giving me fits.
Life may not be the party we hoped for,
But we can dance anyway!

Oh how wonderful! Maybe I can sleep tonight... that's how bad they got to me!

And if half the people who contacted me check out, Mokan could be getting a lot more foster homes :D

Great news for this family!

If there are still peopld in the Springfield area willing to help, do you think any one them would consider helping #1997 in Midway, AR? He is posted in the SE section and is pulling at my heart. It looks like Springfield is only about 2 hours from Midway (if I have the right Midway). I tried to contact some flyball folks in St. Louis on the off chance they might know someone closer who could help. But I have not heard back from anyone.

Just a thought.

This is my first post and I want to say to everyone and anyone here that you are all angels!
Two things...
First, who is #1997?

Second, I work as a receptionist for an emergency animal hospital in the Western Suburbs of Illinois. I am the contact for the humans that have had to make the choice to let their pets run free at 'the bridge'. Because of this, I am in possession of several collars and leashes that the pets no longer needed and owners elected to donate. I would like to know if BC Rescue could put these to use? I do need to clean some of these, but they are all quite usable. Some may be too small but perhaps could be passed on to some of the smaller furbabies that pass your way. Please let me know and we can work out how to get them to you.
Thank you,
Andi~ :P

Hi, Andi, and welcome to the boards! :D

I can answer your first question. :) Here is the link to the thread discussing #1997, a dog in need in Arkansas: http://bcrescue.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3415.

It is very generous of you to offer your clinic's collars and leashes to a rescue...what a nice way to allow the memory of those beloved pets live on in BCs who are getting another chance. I hope someone takes you up on your offer.

This Momma and her babies were pulled from the kill shelter today -- they are SAFE, and bedded down with lots of straw inside an igloo dog house, inside a barn right now. Whew! Not sure if they are going to be Mo-Kan dogs or not, but if another rescue had foster space I'm sure that would be helpful. I'll update this thread as we find out more, when the Momma is vetted, etc.

P.S. WELCOME Andi, and thanks for your kind offer to donate collars and leashes to a rescue group!

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome.
Tanka (Tahn-ka) was that 'Once in a life time' for me. After I let her go to the 'bridge' (my 14 y.o. heinz 57 went also, 6 months later :( ), I decided I wanted to 'down size' so have the chi and chi mix. I now know that when the time is right, and the right BC / BC Mix chooses, I will again get another. There are no words to describe how Tanka absolutely became a part of me and engulfed my heart. I understand completely that there will never be another 'Tanka' but when the time comes that I meet up with my next furry soul mate, I will be here!! I love my furry family now, but my heart also knows that another BC will one day find me.
I'm done rambling on with all this mushy stuff.
I will be visiting this site very regularly.

Again, Thank you!!!
A~

Where are they? I want to help. I have raised BC and hearded sheep. I fully know what I'm getting into. I want a puppy.
