To all of you who cared about this girl.. thank you for that caring which allowed her to spend her last few days surrounded by people who cared and sleeping on carpet with love around her.

Lady has crossed over the rainbow bridge this afternoon.

I hope she is enjoying how fast her legs can carry her now.

Oh Karoline - I am so sorry. I know you and Penny are heartbroken over this. But, like you said, at least she was out of the shelter and loved. I am sure she took that love with her.

If there are medical costs that need to be covered, I am sure several of us would still like to donate in her memory.

Thanks to everyone who helped get this girl out and give her comfort. She was a real beauty.

Thank you to everyone who worked to get her out of the shelter so she could know the feeling of love, comfort and dignity in her last days.

All,

I've received a lot of concern and interest in Ms. Lady and wanted to share with everyone that her ailments were caused by a stroke. The effects of the stroke were what was limiting all of her normal functions-- walking-- and causing her erratic body movements.

It is very sad that she had to live through all of that pain, but heart warming to know that she was held and loved for her last few days and enjoyed the presence of others who cared for her and wanted the best for her. Thank you to each of you for creating that for her.

It's heartbreaking really, I hope that Lady's story can inspire all of us to help another dog in need in her memory.

Sincerely,

Karoline

Thanx Penny and all who helped Ms. Lady get out of the shelter in time to run over the rainbow bridge. I know it was sad for all, but I would do it again, because it is so much better to be held by someone who cares and loves you, even if only a short time, than to die in a shelter. She must of had many struggles in her life, so sad, we couldn't of found her earlier.

I know ABC Rescue has really been reaching out for lots of BC's in need lately, anybody that might like to make a donation in the ole gal's honor to All Border Collie Rescue I know it will be put to good use.
Here's all the info I have:

Thanx,
