A story of survival...

The story of this pup who was dumped at a shelter is heartbreaking...and amazing.

OMG! How terrible! And it sounds like he isn't safe yet despite the miracle. I pray someone can help him.

Sadly, this is the same shelter where Cutter, Reaper, and Bella...two BCs and a BC mix are right now, along with little miracle pup Wall-E. :-( See: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10180

This story tells you what happens to dogs at this shelter. Euthanized by heartstick, and then their bodies thrown in the dumpster. An all too common scenario all across the country, every day.

I felt compelled to call Amanda to offer my assistance after reading about Wall-E earlier today..Thanks so much for posting his plight Wendy !!!!. Amanda told me that Wall-E was due to go back to the shelter on Friday where he would be PTS again at some point . ..I asked if funds towards his boarding would help and she responded definitely yes :D Said the vet has been patient so far but she really can't keep him there past Friday without funds..Anyway I donated for 5 days of boarding and will start a Chipin for him .Promised her I would help to try and raise funds and get the word out...She sent me some more pics ...Sigh If nothing materializes in the way of rescue or adoption I will get him up here to PA somehow.....She said he is in remarkably good health except for a severe case of hookworms for which he has been receiving treatment and is a very sweet boy.....

Thanks for getting more information and for planning a "chip in" for this baby. It would be such a shame for him to end up right where he started from. :(

Here is a dog they tried to euth but failed. They threw in a dumpster and he still refused to go. So they take him to a vet, get him treatment. They called it a miracle. Then the plan is upon his return to the shelter to euth him again?
Did I get that right?
Am I reading it wrong?
Where is the common sense in this story?
Where is there any sense at all?

I agree Joe- there is no sense in it at all. It is crazy and so, so sad. :(

Yes...that is (unbelieveably) the plan. Once he is back at the shelter, he will again be on the euthanasia list. Just incredible.

Joe, I hope it is okay for me to post the ChipIn site that Morragan put together for this little pup - http://machtiger.chipin.com/wall-in-ok- ... ized-twice

He can be kept at the vet clinic a while longer, if we can raise funds for his boarding while efforts are being made to get him to a rescue or adopter. Thanks to all for your compassion, and for spreading the word to save this little guy!

And let's not forget the BCx dogs who are also at this small rural shelter, and face the same cruel fate - see thread at: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10180

Just to clarify, Amanda is the one who took him to the vet's (not the shelter) , as soon as he was found in the dumpster she brought him to the vet where she works...It really wasn't "the plan" to take him back to the shelter on Fri but Amanda had nowhere else for the dog to go . :( ..She cannot take him herself or she would. She lives in an apt , already has a house full of animals and is at their limit for what is allowed and unfortunately Wall-E couldn't keep staying at the vet's without funds. which is why I donated towards his boarding and am trying to raise funds ( as well as find him a place to go )...

Holy cow!!! I mean.... dog!!!! Thats just scary.... you guys watch, someone is going to adopt that dog and he'll save that person's life. A miracle puppy like that could only have a purpose, either to bring someone into a better stage of their life, or even to save it.
All the best for Wall-E! He's got a purpose and nothing can stop him now. :D

OK, we have an option for Wall-E, might need some help to pull it off!

He has a foster avaible in Franklin,TN. I can get him to Luoisville, Ky either Saturday or Sunday night depending on wheather I have to run St Louis, Mo to Louisville or somebody else dose? We need a transport from Louisville, Ky to Franklin, TN, anybody got any ideas to lend a hand to this little guy?

Thank You`ll for careing!

I have heard from several people offering to foster ( none of them close by of course) and I don't know these people ,would rather go with my friend in Franklin if possible :D :D Amanda doesn't have computer access and wants me to figure things out for Wall-e..If transport can be arranged to Franklin this weekend that would be my first choice :D :D
