Has anyone sent him to English Shepherd rescue? Looks sable versus saddleback, and sable is more common in ES, and with that head...could have a chance there?

That is a really good idea. I just sent an email to NESR. I am not sure what rescues are available.

So Kim with NESR has him on hold for eval. She needs help with transport or foster.
Is anyone able to help with either? Please let me know.

GREAT news that he is at least on hold!! I can certainly help with transport through my area, should he be coming this way...through NW Ark, NE Oklahoma and into SW Missouri!

Any BC folks in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that would be willing to assist with an evaluation??

WHEW...been on pins and needles about this one all day. If there aren't any BC folks nearby, maybe there is a local volunteer group or rescue than frequently pulls from there that can lend an assist?

The shelter is holding the dog for our evaluation tomorrow. I have not found a foster home. Do you have any foster or transport contacts?

IF they are trying to buy some time until a foster can be located or transport arranged, I wonder if there might be a local vet or kennel where Indy could be boarded for a few days? However, with the holidays, it might be hard to get in anywhere...

If you need to board him? I have used Rawhide Resort in Roanoke before. Mike had KC, they treated him and kept him in isolation till he got better. I would try Mike with transpawtationtx to get him moved.
