Unfortunately, they are only open weekdays, so that makes it impossible for me. You might email the volunteer group; not sure what they might be able to do. Looks like a cute little girl:

Now I'm confused... On the phone I'm told she isn't even available for adoption until 1/30 yet the website says UNAVAILABLE after 1/31???

Anyone deal with this location in the past?

Got a reply via email as well that she isn't even available until 1/30. They are clearly having issues what what ever determines "Last Day Available". Apparently they give owners 3 business days. It even says 2011 instead of 2012. I'll just have to wait until Monday at this point...

Essentially, Jan 31 is her first day for adoption, rescue, or PTS. If they are full, they do put down on the first available day (the day after her stray hold ends).

I'm not sure whether Spalding "clears out" in anticipation of filling up, or not. But you never see a dog linger there for long. The volunteer group works really hard to move them into rescue quickly, as I'm sure adoptions down in Griffin aren't numerous, and for her as a "high black" dog, even less likely.

Will they still let you come see her prior to the available date?

I can go see her tomorrow but no chance to adopt her before Monday!

If you see her and like her, will they let you fill out the application and hold it til Monday? That should make sure she's safe either way.

She is a super sweet girl and we'll be picking her up Monday at 10AM when they open

We were able to get her outside in a fenced in area and play with her. As expected, she was very timid to start, but it did not take long at all for her to jump in our laps and run around happy as can be. More updates to follow...
