I think he is just gorgeous...scared? they have him on a slick freezer top! I did look around on their site, they have several large dogs posed on that freezer. Too bad we all missed the 2012 raffle tickets sales, each week some lucky winner gets a rifle. Well I guess they have to raise money some how. Anyway I hope this stunning boy gets some help.

Little Man – Little Man is a Border Collie who was seized along with a large number of horses and other animals involved in a high profile case within Sabine Parish. **He has been trained to work cattle, and we are only willing to place him in a home where he can be a pet as well as a working animal. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting a trained cowdog, please come to the Sabine Humane Society and meet him in person. Little Man is approximately 2 years old, heartworm negative and neutered. **Due to his adoption requirements, we will need to do some kind of home check before adopting him out.

Called the shelter. He came in with 4 other dogs, 3 of whom survived...Most of the cruelty case involved horses, They are being very careful about where he ends up..( Want him to go into a working home but also be a family member).They are Rescue Friendly...Was told He is not in danger of being euthanized ,his being such a high profile case and they work hard at getting the dogs out ( they have a 65% adoption rate most of it is rescue..) He is super high energy and is very friendly with people...He hasn't been tested with other dogs but felt with his "extreme energy level he might overwhelm a reactive dog"..He has been neutered and is HW negative..

Thanks, Marcia, that's good to know! I bet they wouldn't adopt out of state in this case. Glad to hear they're taking good care of him.

This boy looks SO much like Scotty, the guy I just pulled from Baton Rouge for Art!!!

I would not dis-count their adopting out of state if they could find a reliable, local rescue to do the home inspection for them. I've done that here before for an out-of-state rescue.

Wish I had room and time for just one more...
