I don't have any information beyond what was forwarded; the original email was 1/20 so it isn't terribly old:

I found [Nell] 12/22 in my neighborhood frantically searching for her family. I think she was an end of the semester drop off. She has been boarded since then and I had her spayed yesterday. She is UTD, HW-, about a year old very sweet and smart but VERY high energy. She hates cats.

Is anyone from ABCR on this page? A lady from BR, who kept looking at our shelter for a female BC, adopted a high-white BC from them. I hope this isn't the same dog...

I actually started looking through ABCR's recent adoptions but then it occurred to me ~ the note says she was spayed Jan 19, so this can't be an ABCR dog.

yep, I have been looking for a new dog for like 6 weeks now.

idk if I will end up with either one, as i'm awfully far from either of them but I did send an email, and I actually heard back from the shelter in Columbus, but only via email, and they were kind of vague. I doubt I would end up with both but I'm trying for one or the other. I only have room for 2 and I already have one filled, but a playmate/sibling would be really nice.

Petfinder and Facebook are other good sources for finding border collies for adoption in your area. They show up fairly regularly at the EBR Shelter (Companion Animal Alliance), but it is almost always males that show up there. They also show up fairly regularly at the Crowley shelter (Acadiana Animal Shelter) and the Abbeville shelter (Vermillion Rabies something-or-other).

Thanks for the reply, I have sent an email. I have been looking on petfinders and also on this site since I decided to adopt again. I just love the way Nell looks and I hope she is still available.

This girl is still available, and very much needing out! I have a more direct POC email for her, but do not have permission to post it yet, so PM me if you want it:

Nell is available. She is lovely, but extremely active and insistent. She does not show well while kenneled. She needs a place with a large space to play and people who are as active as she is. I thought a young engineer was a good prospect, but he was worried about her size and physical need to keep busy.
