16015868 – Male – owner surrenderfrom Anson Texas.Name is “Cutter”; the owner said he is not good with children orother pets. He is not neutered and is very scared of us at this point.

New update from shelter director:

I also checked on “Cutter” (16015868);he was actually fine with me in his cage and began to wag his tail. He allowed me to touch him and rub over his body, so I don’t think he is as fearful. I allowed him to “see” me dog through the gate and neither showed aggression. I wonder if owners that surrender their animals have actually interacted with them at all.

Abilene is overrun with beautiful BC's and BCx dogs that will die tomorrow. This poor boy doesn't sound like his "family" gave any good information on him that would allow him a chance. People sometimes just lie to shelters just to have a "reason" to get rid of the dog.

If one of these Abilene dogs can be held over until Thursday, and someone can get him or her to me in Wichita Falls Thursday, I can get one of them as far as ft smith area. I am in TX again. If anyone is interested. Or if someone can bring up here Wed and put them into boarding, I can pick up Thursday and head out. I am here for a short visit but unfortunately am not able to drive as much. So if someone can make it happen, please tell me where to go to or meet to pick up the pup Thursday. Sorry, I cannot be more helpful.
