Hi:

Thank you @lfgrady for your kind offer...I heard back from Kate @ Friend of Pep and she would like to start a request on UShip, but a physical address for @Shelbysdad is required. Tom in WV is very willing to pull the Blind BC and temp-hold him if there is confirmed rescue commitment...If we could answers for the following:

1. @Shelbysdad -- can you private message me your address for Kate? @lfgrady is willing to drive 500 miles, is that within "few hundred miles" you previous wrote about and/or are there rescue contacts that could help out beyond the 500 mile mark?

2. @lfgrady -- do you know where "500 miles" will put you? (ie: state, metro city, etc...)

3. Is anyone willing to donate towards transport costs for this guy?

I am still in WA, so no help here. I did run some miles tho, and from Fredericksburg, MD, which is close to the person who is willing to drive 500 miles, to Berkeley Springs is about 60 miles, from Berkeley Springs to Concordia, KS is another 1200 miles. I think St Louis, MO is just about 500 miles from Shelbysdad. Berkeley Springs is just almost 500 miles from Indianapolis, IN. Then you've got 250 to St Louis, MO, then almost 500 to Concordia, where Shelbysdad is. I cannot speak for him as to how far he will drive. I will email him to check if he has seen this, but I'm sure he is watching.

I just looked at the Facebook picture comments and the pic now says rescue pending - Pets with Disabilities. Link to Facebook pic is in first post here. I'll see if I can find out anything.

I got an email back that he IS tagged!

My wife's office donated enough miles for him just to fly out here. If things fall through, hopefully I can find someone back there to pick up a crate at petco ( I think they will let me buy one over the phone) and get him to his flight? Then I can pick him up in Witchita, KS.

Anyone know what is happening with the scared rough coated black and white female and the red and white male previously posted in this thread?

R/W dog is Rescue Pending - Karen Kloess / Ashland Animal Relief Fund :)

Sunshine (the Extremely scared Border Collie female) still needs Rescue!!
"UPDATE: Her name is "SUNSHINE", according to County Record. Sunshine has started to wag her tail! I visited with her today, brought some little pieces of cooked chicken that she loved. Got her to sniff my hand, but she wouldn't come close enough for a soft pat. This girl needs a quiet home and a patient caretaker. She doesn't trust many people right now and needs to know humans aren't all bad."

"If you go and sit down with her you can pet her. So so scared. She wagged her tail today. The black pup that is left was out running and went up to her run . SHe approached the fence and wagged her tail. Happiness, just a glimpse".

I would think she should have some interest?

Would some sponsorship help her?
