Looks like his owner can't keep him contained. Poor fella. I unfortunately am busy on Saturday and can't help with this boy. They will adopt to out-of-state rescue, no problems there. Dogs at Henry Co WILL have kennel cough, so have your Doxy ready:
CHECKERS
http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23319736
Checkers is a wonderful Border Collie boy who has been with us a few times in the past. His owner has not come for him this time so he is alone and lonely here, possibly facing the end of his life. Checkers is a great boy! He needs a good bath and a brush out....he is super in the kennel and loves everyone!
Please hurry! Time is VERY short during the summer months when we are at capacity! (770) 288-PETS. My I.D. # 6/11-1094 please refer to this number when inquiring about me. Lost and stray animals are held at the Henry County Animal Care and Control Shelter for four (4) calendar days (excluding Sundays and county holidays) in order to give their owners a chance to reclaim them. After that time period, adoptable animals are held as long as space allows.
