a) He is very shut down in the kennels, to the point where they feared he might be gravely ill. But the longer he's out, the better he feels and acts.
b) He is now kenneled with 2 dogs - one male (intact), one female (spayed), does fine with both. They are young and obnoxious and he doesn't reprimand them for climbing all over him.
c) He has been given a bath and Frontline. Said his coat will be marvelous once the flea-thinned areas grow back in
d) They took him to the office, where he did great. They took him for a trip and got him weighed at their vet - 42lb. He greeted smaller dogs very politely, and absolutely lit up when he saw kids! He very deliberately ignored the cats, even when they tried to make him look - lol. He did not mark and shows all signs of being housebroken. He did consider marking the cat scratching post that ALL dogs mark, but responded to a "no, sir!"
e) He became perky both in the car - where he enjoyed tracking other cars on the road - and the longer they had him outside. He may actually have a more normal BC energy out of that environment.
f) He is incredibly people-oriented and responsive. He won't do anything you tell him not to, and will do anything you ask of him - even if he doesn't want to. He waits for permission to exit the car and go through doors. Wonderful boy
