If you've ever thought about donating to Border Collie Rescue but didn't just want to write a check, here's a great way to help out Border Collies in need. Money always helps but much of it goes to buying the needed supplies for taking care of the dogs. You can cut a rescuer's time by purchasing these items and then donating them directly. Here's a typical rescuer's wish list. A generous gift to your local rescuer will always make their day:
- Dog food (gift certificates are often perfect as it prevents spoilage of food)
- Blankets
- Crates
- Rolls of stamps
- Prepaid calling cards
- Doggie baggies
- Trash cans, buckets, or dog food containers
- Dog feeders, bowls, waterers, or mats
- Towels, paper towels, bleach, and other cleaning supplies
- Heavy duty dog toys - Kongs, Frisbees, Buster Cubes, Nylabones, etc.
- Polaroid camera
- Office supplies
- Old computers or programs
- Filing cabinets
- Vacuum cleaner and bags
- Treats - rawhides, chewies, bones, biscuits, etc.
